In 2017, I graduated college and started working as a sales and marketing rep at a startup.

I always wanted to learn how to write code (any language) and even tried in college. It was far too difficult with my wrestling obligations and other courses.

During my 1.5yrs in sales and marketing, I started learning a little SQL and python on codeacademy because I knew our engineering team used them on a daily basis.

After expressing the desire to join the engineering team and making dozens of shitty Python jokes in Slack, I was given the opportunity to become a data analyst.

It's been 4 years since I began my foray into data analytics and now software development.

That's an alright amount of time in the space, but I still feel like a noob in some sense because I don't really know how computers work, but I can make them do all sorts of cool things.

I recently saw some high praises for the book Code: The Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software by Charles Petzold and decided to get it. So far it seems very promising!

What are some other resources I can use to improve my understanding of computers and how they work?
