As someone who travels extensively as a courier, Riparia really couldn’t have a pet. That is, unless I count Doppla, her horse, which I’m hesitant to do.
Doppla is more her traveling partner, someone who’s protective, but who also argues with her. Well, according to Maniff, who puzzles over their relationship.
No other pets appear in Trust in the Forgotten, but there are many other named animals in the rest of the series.
