Firstly, stop doing the activity that caused/aggravated it in the same way. If you don't have another way of doing it, stop doing it for the time being.
Secondly, lie down in a relaxed state and touch the elbow gently where it hurts, trying to encompass a large area where the pain is.
Lastly, do either or both of the following together:
- Sense with you hand into the whole volume of your elbow where it hurts (3-dimensionally) and try to "scan" the area. You may start to notice that the pain changes in quality/nature. If so, keep scanning the area and simply be curious and interested in what happens or unfolds, without any agenda.
- Sensing from within you, like in a body meditation, into that same volume in your elbow that hurts. Do the same as above. The only difference is one is sensing through your own hand, the other is from within, and best if you can use your whole body as the sensing agent. If you can do both at the same time, even better.
If you fall asleep doing this, it's all good. Healing continues to take place when we're asleep.
Good luck!
