I grew up in the '60s, during the Civil Rights movement and anti-war protests and Watergate. I remember separate want ads for men and women, women not being able to get credit cards in their own names. The AIDS epidemic started just after my college graduation. Despite the backsliding things are still better than they were 60 years ago. We have to keep working for progress.
