Chema shook his head gravely (nprofile…wky0) There's something here, for sure. But unfortunately I think that there is also a layer underneath, Daily Show became popular and more "necessary" as "mainstream news" failed to reach as many people as it once did. Kind of circular?
(I'd also point to South Park laugh-at-both-sides sneering nihilism, & to me they occupied a similar band, so yes Comedy Central is to blame is what I'm saying)
