Ok, I've given this a decent amount of thought already (this kind of thing is why I can never take a shower shorter than 15 minutes)...
Morse code is bi-state, but *not* bi-symbolic. There are at least four symbols in morse: dit, daw, dit pause (intra-word pause), dah pause (inter-word pause), and optionally, long pause (inter-sentence pause)
So, is it truly digital/binary? Or is it actually ternary/quaternary?
