There's a reason we don't use the other short form apps. YouTube shorts and Instagram Reels are HORRIBLE in many aspects. Instagram even stopped paying creators.
Tiktok's algorithm was way better, the reality is China's tech is surpassing a lot of the USA. We can't compete so we ban, same reason we banned Chinese EV's but not the chinese parts to make US EV's.
