Hot take, from the Global South: teaching software that only runs on Macs is a bad thing, it generates lots of exclusion. Apple funds charities to teach iOs/MacOS development, it promotes their walled garden, maybe it is not a good thing. Teaching multi-platform, libre and open tools is better.
