my operating system situation rn is like

windows: good for accessing network shares, necessary in order to run (or tweak) a windows app, useless for hardware virtualization unless you buy windows 10 pro (i will not)

macos: basically 100% useless for accessing network shares, but good at almost everything else. not good for virtualizing x86 windows (if the host machine is arm, which it is)

linux: pretty good for accessing network shares, great for virtualizing x86 windows with hardware virtualization, but bad if you want to do anything other than fix linux problems
