Just experienced the same friction closing a bank account - took over a month, speaking with 6 different employees, and two in-person visits to the bank. Once it was finally over and done with I jokingly said to the banker "you know, this isn't an issue with Bitcoin" and she said to me "I have a personal opinion on Bitcoin, but I am absolutely not allowed to talk about it - bank policy" haha xD Moral of the story: "Bitcoin fixes this" and clearly big banks have policies in place to not talk about self-sovereignty with clients. Bitcoin is winning 🧡✨
