Chris Trottier (npub1jeq…jglm) You are correct about freedom of speech and freedom of association being different. Unfortunately, federation doesn’t provide either well. It doesn’t distinguish well between public and private spaces and it isn’t all that transparent to users if you’re broadcasting to “everyone” or a group that “must” share a common set of values or goals.
