Eminent climate scientist James Hansen looks to a generational shift in political leadership, but I’m not sure that will change much. The young people around me are for the most part acquisitive, politically and emotionally immature, and self-centred, while the environmentally aware are boomers and gen-x.

Youth is vastly overrated.
