I think there's room for a rapid-dissemination/emergency-messaging platform on the #Fediverse. Something like ntfy but with ActivityPub would work pretty well for this, I think (or even just actual ntfy linked with ActivityPub)!
The major use case for this is obviously accounts that issue time-sensitive messages, like status updates, transit notices, AMBER alerts, or weather alerts. Having something optimized for this and as easy to use as Mastodon (or easier!) could make all the difference.
