The vet couldn’t find anything wrong with the horse that hasn’t eaten in 24 hours. GI sounds were great, heartbeat nice and slow. No signs of pain. I’m happy it’s not a colic—probably the most common way that horses die—but it’s also weird. Everyone at the clinic was laughing that he’s the healthiest horse they’d seen all week. Maybe he’s protesting for a cause that he’s not able to put into words for us.
