If you’ve ever had to deal with things that only sort of kind of work—the car that pings and groans and whose heat and A/C doesn’t work, the oven that occasionally just stops heating so you have to stay in the kitchen the whole time so you can restart it, the toilet that runs unless you jiggle the handle just right—you value when things just WORK the way they’re SUPPOSED to.
