The obvious take is to say that they're misguided and it's not that those games don't sell, but that all recent games in those genres are full of leftist propaganda. I.e.: the real reason they don't sell.
As for me, there's been plenty of "narrative-driven", "story-rich" products lately... How about making games, instead?
