I am taking part in a Médecins Sans Frontières Gaza Emergency Briefing listening to firsthand accounts from their staff, one still there, of the appalling conditions they are working under.
Also their attempts to drive south with their staff, how they were fired upon by the IDF - two were killed - and how 5 of their vehicles were crushed by IDF bulldozers.
They are continually under fire from the IDF and being told to move, even as they are under fire.
The population cannot escape, there is nowhere for them to go. It's an 'extremely radical, radical situation' says one.
Everything - water, electricity, communications, food - is controlled by Israel. The basic human rights. They have never seen such an extreme situation in many years of MSF work.
