I've been unable to write for two months now - ever since my brain tumour diagnosis (not cancer).

I have no symptoms, it was found early and isn't having any effect yet.

Except I haven't written.

I've mulled over this, I mean I've been a writer for over 30 years and nothing stops me from writing until now.

But I, like most people, can suffer from "waiting mode" and it finally dawned on me that's what this is.

I'm waiting for my operation and I don't even have a date yet.
