And by "the opposite" I mean that I am about to be highly complementary to the Filipinos.

The short version is the "bride's side" aka the Filipino side was pretty great, and the "groom's side" aka the White side was fucking embarrassing.

Now this is me speaking in general terms, but I don't care to rant with nuance, so bare that in mind. And though this was relationship on my wife's side, it is not beyond my notice that there is a portion of part of my family that is similar.
