Yesterday, I saw a popular** Fediverse blogger dismiss the idea that right wing husbands might turn abusive upon discovering that their wives voted Democrat.

I'm not sure why people have a hard time accepting that such a thing is a real phenomenon in the world. Growing up in the authoritarian household that I did, I would be unsurprised to witness this kind of behavior. My father expected my mother to pull the same levers he did.
