hazlin no plap pirate (nprofile…rs6s) Monero's ASIC resistant, you can't get any decent ASIC machines to mine it like Bitcoin. CPU mining is the most viable option but it's not a terribly profitable enterprise to invest in equipment specifically for monero mining. At most you'll get a few cents a day using a beefy desktop CPU at full capacity.
As for Bitcoin, as tempting as it is to invest in a serious miner the things are fucking loud, consume assloads of power, need to get swapped out after a few years to compete and it'll probably have another downturn in a few months which makes buying some low a more viable option.
All this to say to me it seems like there's no significantly profitable way to mine crypto (or at least non-shitcoins) without high upfront investment and high maintenance overhead. Oh and that's not even getting into the PoS ponzi scheme where you need to hold a high amount of crypto to mine the damned thing. I don't know if anyone on fedi managed to do a decently profitable small-scale operation but I'm curious if someone managed it.

Addendum: how the fuck do I buy Monero without giving some exchange my credit card details and without needing to buy BTC/ETH first
