Well, this is irritating.
I may have a fair number of linux computers, but there's one windows one I use as well (excluding work).
It's actually the one I'm most likely to be on late at night, as it's next to my bed.
Well, the power just suddenly went out to my entire apartment, shutting all the computers down abruptly. It came back after a minute.
But it's no longer detecting a wifi adapter on that computer. After trying some things, I think the wifi's just dead on it now.
Fortunately, I *was* able to hook it up by ethernet. It's silly that it wasn't, actually, as it was right by the router, but all the ports were full. One of them turned out to be a long unplugged cable, though, so I used that one.
So, computers working and has internet... but it really does bug me that it now has dead wifi. Built in on the motherboard, too, which makes me wonder if anything else was fried...
