I was on Reddit for over a decade, commenting and upvoting. I learned a lot and contributed a decent amount, but what did I end up accomplishing? Nothing.
I helped grow Reddit for Reddit, I didn't build anything for myself or anyone else.
With nostr, I'm building something. I'm building a presence, I'm building connections, I'm building community.
Nobody can declare that my content requires a paywall, nobody can declare my words unworthy of being seen, nobody can shutdown my profile and kick me out of this community because I make the wrong person mad or uncomfortable.
Nostr feels different from every other social network because it is, nostr is just people talking. It feels more authentic, more homey, more like the real world and not the manipulated one focusing on fear that exists everywhere else.
I love it here. 🫂❤️😊
