I also feel the need to eat (probably for a sugar rush) but it's not really the same as the achey stomach I get when properly hungry. This often progresses to gritty eyes, and progressively lower dexterity and a loss of feeling in my extremities, plus difficulty focusing my eyes. At the extremes, like after a week of insomnia, I feel permanently heavy, but keep getting deeper bouts, which recede after a while, then difficulty keeping a train of thought, plus a kind of sinking, falling feeling sets in. This is different from having done a lot of heavy labour - not that often these days, fortunately - where I have a kind of aching across my body and limbs, but with kind of tingling/sparky feeling.
