Yeah it can have a big falloff from my experience putting music there, but it's more likely that you will recieve a random surge of attention, especially if you change the title or thumbnail slightly. I don't think it's possible to manufacture ideal circumstances for your music to be discovered on any platform, but at least with youtube there's a bit of control with it being common to put genre tags in the title.
