The closest for me: Car hit 0 on a motorway and being a stubborn northern Brit, I didn't want to pay those prices. Carried on for about 10 more miles. Came off the motorway, onto this dual carriageway I knew had a station I liked at the other end. Car started choking & traffic lights ahead turned red. I knew if I stopped moving it wouldn't continue, so I properly crawled until the lights switched. Engine cut, and I rolled it through and into the fuel station 😬
