I tried this out some months ago. I can’t remember what the issue was, maybe lack of support for whatever various custom number weirdness I need. the tragedy is that when working with custom number formats, you really do have to be able to write your own visualizers. gtkwave supports this if you write an executable that will post process as a filter plugin.

Haven’t checked out surfer in a bit, so maybe they have what I need now.
