I would also urge all NCD users to create a Matrix account on the NCD Matrix server. In the event that NCD were to go down for whatever reason, as we have seen a couple times in the past, or a wider outage for any reason, it's important to keep a line of communication open. You can use the NCD Matrix server to voice call and video conference as well as text message and send pictures/videos safely without any prying eyes.

NCD's Matrix server is hosted in a completely different location, far away from where the NCD fediverse instance is hosted in case of a regional outage.
