I'm an old git that played in a brass band some fifty years ago. I was inspired to pick up a trumpet by Ibrahim Maalouf a Lebanese French trumpeter who uses the Easter, Western and jazz tradition to compose music of all genres. I'm a bit of a fan boy but he is now one of the most popular musicians in France. I did play with his bands brass choir in July. I'm keener on his more reflective stuff but I couldn't pass up this opportunity🙂
