My Mastodon filters are doing some serious heavy lifting here today to preserve mental health, but thinking of completely hiding those posts (versus obscuring them) for at least a week. I'm not one to hide from reality, but a barrage of non-actionable terribleness is not terribly healthy for your psyche. (actionable info is good, but terrible stuff you can't do anything about is bad). I encourage you to use those filters to your own Fediverse clients.
