third example is what I’m using on a view that at the top serves a lot of info, including search filters, a specific search filter widget, and the search results themselves.

I’ve moved a lot of that to just expanding the target due to change in requirements, but how easy the custom event let me move the “do I need to be refreshed” logic into Django — and how seamless it was — felt very powerful.
