Starting with a list of gender-neutral nature names, I narrowed it down and ended up picking one that rhymes with my old name so while it was new it would still alert me that somebody was talking to me. And the first time I tried out a new name it didn't stick because I didn't like getting laughed at when I introduced myself. It was a common name but gendered different from my appearance and people can be dicks.
