Visited Photoworks SF, recommended by film photography fedi friends. On upper Market, between Chuch & Castro. Nice shop with rally friendly/chatty & knowledgeable staff.
For a completely practical analysis: you can get film cheaper other places, but if you want interesting/experimental film, they have a lot of choices.
And *processing* is cheaper than anything I've seen anywhere in the Bay. So if you want to do film photography on a budget, you could get your film online and bring it here to be developed.
Next door, there's a "photo booth museum". Looks like fun. A separate enterprise, but run by friends of theirs. I'll have to come back with my kids.
Also: a lot of tasty places to eat in the neighborhood. There's a basement sushi place I want to come back to.
