**Husband: Wife's live location not moving; turns out she was killed in crash**

**KUALA LIPIS**: Corporal Mohd Azman Mat Yaacob felt uneasy after seeing his wife, Nor Faizah Ridzuan's real-time location shared via the WhatsApp application was not moving, despite checking his smartphone several times.

Mohd Azman, attached to the Petaling Jaya police station in Selangor, said he immediately contacted his wife and eldest son, Muhammad Hariz Adrian, 10, but received no response apart from unanswered WhatsApp messages.

His instincts were right when he received a call from the Lipis district police at around 4 am today informing him that Nor Faizah, 34, Muhammad Hariz Adrian and their youngest son, Muhammad Hafiy, three, were killed after the car they were travelling in was involved in an accident with a trailer.

“I never thought it would be our last meeting before midnight when we left the house together. My wife and sons were returning to Kampung Tawang in Bachok, Kelantan, while I went to work.

“They were supposed to stay in the village until the end of this month because of the school holidays and I wanted to fetch them back as I could not take a long holiday,” he told Bernama when met at the Kuala Lipis Hospital Forensic Department today

Mohd Azman said that his wife, a housewife, had planned to make the journey after their eldest son returned from school today but changed her mind and left late at night.

It was also the first time Nor Faizah had made a long journey, but he allowed her to travel with the children as they had been unable to return to the village for a long time.

Kuala Lipis district police chief Supt Azli Mohd Noor confirmed that a housewife and her two children were killed when the Perodua Alza they were travelling in collided with a trailer at KM 17 of the Jalan Lipis-Benta in Penjom, near Kuala Lipis, early this morning.

He said that in the 2.25 am incident, the victims died at the scene due to serious head and body injuries. The incident is believed to have occurred when she lost control of the car when navigating a bend, causing it to enter the opposite lane and collide with the trailer.

Mohd Azman said the remains of his wife and children will be buried in a single grave at the Pintu Gerbang Muslim Cemetery in Bachok today.

Nor Faizah's younger sister, Nor Fitrah, 30, said she had two video calls with Muhammad Hariz Adrian, who was excited to return to the village.

“The first call was before they started the journey. I felt uneasy afterwards because it was already late at night, so I contacted Hariz (my nephew) about 10 minutes later.

“I advised my sister to drive carefully because it was dark and there were many lorries, but she did not respond... maybe she was focusing on driving,” she said.

Nor Faizah, who lives in Dungun, Terengganu, said she could not sleep after that call, before receiving a call from a family member around 4 am informing her of the sad news. - _Bernama_
