SO here is what I do for what it is worth when I solo spot in the Panamaint (104 in Spring 114 to 116 in summer)

I carry 2 WEEKS of water. 3 Yeti coolers with Ice and cold water. Food for the same time period

Full set of recovery gear
Satellite SOS Iphone 14

I sit in a chair int he tailgate overhand and move to stay in the shade. I only get up to shoot (photos) the return to the shade

My MDX is maintained in impeccable shape and I have a full set of recovery gear

I do not stay overnight

I have a full itinerary at home inducing location and GPS points and check in each night when I get back into cell phone range. I also have 2 handheld 8W Ham Radios and my family knows which frequencies I will tune them too. If I do not report in each night they will call the ranger station
