I explicitly want to receive content from Threads and Bluesky.

And one of the big reasons is that, without Threads and Bluesky, the Fediverse is dwindling.

Look at the stats. MAUs have gradually fallen. Mastodon has half the amount of active users that it had a year ago.

Now I like the Fediverse as it is now. Most of the people I talk to are great.

But how long are you all going to hang around when there’s fewer and fewer people to talk to?

A social network’s general usefulness is only as good as the amount of people using it.
