It's not really a good argument, it's like saying "Not everyone has 5 fingers, amount of fingers belongs on a spectrum.". And if you look at most conditions considered as "intersex", it's clear that activists have tried to put as many different categories of physical conditions into the "intersex" category as possible. As for sex vs. gender, it's also a nonsense point where people can't get their story straight. Is it a biological thing, i.e. female brains vs male brains, if that's the case it shouldn't be decided on self-identification but on a brain scan of the individual. Is it just how you feel? Then what about tomboys or more effeminate males?

It's 100% clear that someone identifying as trans is a modern phenomenon which is equivalent to someone identifying as a political group, e.g. liberal and conservative, or another sub-culture such as goth or emo. It is legitimate in the sense that their feelings are valid. It is illegitimate in the sense that they are not actually the opposite gender and that there is an actually existing reality outside of their heads and you can't impose your reality onto everyone else.

All of it is a symptom of the disease of Western individualism.
