While I hate diversity in general I chose it for my chicken flock because I didn't know what I was doing when I started and wanted to evaluate different breeds. IME some lay better in winter months, some taste better cooked, some are more frenly and don't gossip in the coop.
Moving forward I'll stick with RIRs and Buffs.
