Trump’s most stupid lie this week is that the US is “subsidizing” Canada, as if Canada was somehow living on US welfare checks.

The truth is, the US wants to buy its oil from Canada, because it is a nearby neighbor. That is by far the biggest contributing factor to the trade deficit.

So what is Trump’s plan? A green transition away from oil? Or more oil imports from Russia perhaps?

And what about all those American refinery jobs that depend on Canadian oil? Is Trump saying “YOU’RE FIRED”?
