Gotta love how these almost-leftist outfits like The Guardian keep dancing around the issue talking about this effect and that effect but never the cause, never ever the cause: capitalism as a continuously wealth&power concentrating network of economic dictatorships where the workers have no vote for half of their waking lives yet are being told they "live in a democracy"; profit as legalized systematic theft from the workers that makes said dictatorship possible.
