Some headphones models are very simple to replace pads.
My favorite headphones was audio-technica m40x, but they finally broke after around 5 years of almost daily use, the attachment between the headband and the earcup they cracks and breaks, it's a known issue.
The m50x fix this problem and even has more bass. But they are bulky.
