When I was a kid, I used to love being taken to a little shop that was filled with a wide variety of buttons. I’m not sure if the entire store was buttons or if I just gravitated to the buttons section. They were in bins by color and size similar to how a hardware store is with screws and bolts. I would run my hands through them like a pirate reveling in newfound treasure, or a dragon bathing in its hoard. Holding them up to the light to see the glow of the color delicately shining through.
