Could America implement a draft? People were saying the same shit during the W Bush years with Iraq. It was total bullshit back then and professors were parroting it in universities.

Today our military is very thin. Friends of mine who are currently officers have told me the military is not prepared for a real conflict. There are record low recruitment numbers. A lot of people took the vax mandate as a "get discharged free" card (of course losing their benefits .. not worth your life). One of my friend's who is still in said "I'm fine now, but I could die in 10 years" .. so at least some are aware of the risks.

Will we see a draft? It still feel super unlikely. Despite low recruitment numbers and those forced out due to the experimental clot shot requirements, I don't think a draft is even remotely viable today. The backlash would be insane. Those who are best fit to fight do not see the current government as legitimate. Despite low recruitment, there are still plenty of people in.

Was in 2024? Honestly it's overdue. I'm surprised Biden hasn't started three wars already.
