I don't see how they put a national election together again with their "coalition of the fringes", especially as they stare down the barrel of fringe candidates (AOC, etc.). It could lead to a weird situation where the Dems have a majority in both houses but actually agree on nothing because each siloed group is no longer willing to swing for each other.
I just might just be hopeful after listening to Auron Macintyre remark that if Trump can keep the heat on (a big if, through no fault of Trump, his enemy is relentless) it will completely crack the mortar that holds regime leftists together.
(Don't want to be too effort-poasty, but that event will be revolutionary for everyone as all "boomer-con" type views depend on the leftist status quo remaining in place, which is why I was kinda surprised to see Chris Rufo pumping for overthrowing the Griggs vs. Duke Power decision as people like him will suddenly be on the outside looking in).
