There are thousands of approaches to morality, ranging from what things make you feel to 'muh skydaddy told me to ritually sacrifice muh kids!'. In a general sense I guess it's just down to what benefits whatever matters to you the most? Individual/tribal/species etc.

Adam didn't choose death, he even lacked the knowledge of good and evil so he wouldn't of known eating the fruit was wrong. Because he lacked the concept of wrong or even death. Garden of eve story is 100% god's fault, he put it there with a talking snake and knew the outcome before any of it existed. Even the snake's blameless, as it was just part of god's plan.

If god exists, it is all knowing/all powerful etc etc, there can be no such thing as free will. So that excuse doesn't hold up in the slightest.

> Do the same people that scream God is awful for allowing "evil" happen also praise God for the good that happens? Or is that a one way street?

That example doesn't really happen often, most people who "hate god" just simply don't believe in it. Flip it and it's far more applicable to reality.
