TIL that simplex currently does not use the configured proxy to create url previews, which would lead to ip leaks in most cases

this is why i always tell people to *always* use tails/whonix for your illegal identity, this issue doesn't occur in those systems (instead simplex just fails to create the preview) since they actively block all non-tor traffic
