The people who say climate action would be “too costly” have it exactly backwards. A zero emissions world will be a better world, full stop (Cheaper, cleaner, and safer). Fossil fuel pollution kills 7-9 million people every year. From a societal perspective, fossil fuels haven’t been economic in a long time. Of course, stabilizing to climate will be costly to the fossil fuel industry and their wealthy lackeys in conservative parties. Too bad for them.
