I mean - the people that actually did the attack don't look too bright. I'm not sure how any of them could have thought it was anything other than a suicide mission. They allowed themselves to be captured - so the attackers definitely were retarded.
They people that put them up to it just wanted a pound of flesh and likely knew they weren't getting out of there
