I do not see how this is different that Mastodon, or am I overlooking something. I read GitHub
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nostr but the relay here is as crucial as in Mastodon. The person running the relay can still manipulate or shut down the relay, thereby causing the note to be lost permanently unless backup, synced. But by default no sync and no block chain.
Please explain so I can better understand.
