Totally forgotten this was actually released sometime in 2023. Then saw it dropped on Max and since we were stuck in a blizzard, why not?
The final movie in the current DCEU is becomes a buddy comedy with Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson and its at its best when the two of them are onscreen. The rest: basic superhero movie that reminds you why you got sick of them in the first place.
Poor Yahya Abdul-Mateen, from a career high in Candyman then reduced to a Magical Negro in the limp Matrix 4-quel and now a forgettable bad guy in a comic book movie. Venmo-ing $25 now...
The DCEU (mercifully) dies in a wave(!) of indifference.
